I must say, it was nice to have a day off in the middle of the week, although it did put me behind at work.

In true Aussie style, had a BBQ on Wednesday night to celebrate Australia Day, Triple J’s Hottest 100, and James Stewarts Birthday :)

A fun evening of drinks, pool, food and laughs.

Was walking past a book shop the other day and stopped to have a dig through the sin bin out the front, to have a book by the name of "The Little Book of Gay Love" catch my eye. A funny little book filled with some funny, serious, crude and quite meaningful sayings by famous and not so famous people.

"Lables are for filing, labels are for clothing, labels are not for people" - Martina Navratilova

And one that I had a chuckle over…

"If I’m absolutely frank I prefer women to men, but if I’m brutally frank I’d prefer chocolate to either" - Anonymous.

What’s on for the weekend?
Not much at all. Off to work tomorrow to finish the cleaning up that I started today. Make sure that I can see my desk again, build some more shelving and then finish all the paperwork that I didn’t do. Also have some PC’s to reimage.

To leave you on funny note…

Well Melbourne City Council sure made a packet off me yesterday!

I guess this could be a MasterCard ad….

Feeding the parking metre - $2.00, Parking Ticket - $102, Coming out of a meeting to see your car being towed…. priceless….. Well actually $275 bucks :( Trying to bribe the tow truck driver….. A bad idea :|

So that was a bad end to an ordinary day…

But hey, serves me right for rushing while parking the car… had enough time on the metre, but didn’t read the sign…

Other wise the day was OK. Phone system upgrade went well, few little issues but It’s working. :)

What’s on for the week ahead?
Let’s hope not a hell of a lot - A quiet day on Wednesday catching up on work and hopefully a fairly quiet rest of the week… but I think I’m Dreaming!

Is it me or do these TV networks really not give a shit about ratings.

I can’t believe the copious amount of crap that is on tonight.

You have Channel 7’s new promo and somewhere in there the Tennis (I think I’d rather be watching David Attenborough - The mating of the penguins!) Channel 9’s "Blockbuster" Contact, Channel 10 didn’t have enough money to get a good movie - Mission Impossible…

These are the times when I wish I hadn’t got rid of Foxtel. At least then I would have 80 channels of crap to surf through… there was usually one thing out of 80 channels to watch.

Well today was hellishly boring - Spent most of the day at work rolling over the phone system, which went fairly smoothly (Phew). I think a day of sleep is on the cards for tomorrow.

Last night was good - Team YNG/YDF won the fox hunting … again… :)

One of the teams encountered a case of road rage with a cream Commodore that they ended up running off the road into some poor persons front yard, but hey - serves them right for messing with someone who has more antennae on their roof than the ACA mobile!

Well, I think it’s time for a DVD and to crack open a bottle of wine.

Cheers :)

Stressed my Arse! I am going to kill the next son of a bitch who says I look stressed!Another very long and stressful week!

Currently working on the new phone system that is getting upgraded tonight and tomorrow which has been fun and games. Between Telstra stuffing up the ISDN 30 (whoops, we forgot to put infrastructure in!) phone system programming and users, well hey it just tops it all off.

Once this is all over I will be very very happy :)

Not a lot planned for the weekend ahead, working all day tomorrow (yay! :() and then hopefully will get some time to myself on Sunday. Have to do my GST for the last quarter which I haven’t done!

Going Fox Hunting tonight (for those of you screaming animal cruelty, no it’s got nothing to do with animals!) - Adam and Bryan needed a "fill in" driver - so why the hell not, better that sitting at work until 8pm again!

Other than that… I guess all is good. Still got to get the Xfm and Nanna Pics up… should get to that on Sunday.

What a good end to a fun weekend in Adelaide.

Slept in this morning then had the buffet breakfast at the hotel, then checked out and watched the world go by sitting on the steps of Parliament House (Opposite the Hotel) for a few hours until Brownie picked me up to go to Woodhouse.

The reunion was good, got to catch up with Amy, Chance, Steve, Ski, Mark, James and CJ. Had some lunch and bevy’s and sat around and reminisced for a while.

Got some photos of people which I’ll pop up on the net once I’m back on a decent internet connection. Just sitting in the departure lounge after bidding Amy goodbye and downloading the photos off the camera and blogging :)

Well, I might think of more once I’m on the plane. Plane flies out at 1900hrs or there about.

Well what an evening.

Goose - Brilliant!
A 15 piece Funk band and well, they go off! [Listen Here - Amnesia]

2 Hours of just the most amazing music, so vibrant, so funky, so Goose!

Kas introduced me to some of the band members, Damian and Sam (Bass Players) and what down to earth guys.

A must see for anyone regardless of what genre of music you are into, Goose will blow your socks off.

A great day in Adelaide, caught up with Chance and Amy and spent a few hours in Rundle Mall browsing some shops and then ice cream :) This fantastic ice cream place where they take the ice cream, flatten it out and then crush a chocolate bar or biscuit into it!

Today (it’s 1am), check out of the Hotel at 11, then off to the XFM reunion at Woodhouse which I am really looking forward to. Catching up with the whole (or most of) the crew.

Well, that’s all I can think of at this ungodly hour.

Well for those who listen to JJJ, they would know that the Morning

Team (Ross & Terri - www.rossandterri.com) stole a cardboard cut out Nanna - well, this got taken a lil bit far and they ended up making a life size cut out that you could download and make your own nanna.

Well today, just after 1pm, Nanna was released into the world for the last time. 40 odd helium balloons were tied to Nanna, and she was floated into the atmosphere of Melbourne….

Well it just happens that I had my camera with me, and that the ABC Studios in Melbourne are across the road from work, so what an opportunity…. I became the official Nanna Photographer :)

The 1st Launch… well not so good… Nanna got a bit tangled up in the trees and popped a few balloons, but
never fear - the good listeners of Triple J were to the rescue - untangled Nanna, and then we were back in business.

After 20 odd minutes, Nanna was finally released.

The other highlight for the day was finally meeting the team at Crazy Johns corporate in Adelaide. After a brilliant dinner at Jasmine, a few laughs and a bottle of wine, we parted and will catch up some time of the next few days while I am in Adelaide.

The CJ’s Team
Kas, Andrea, Judd & Mel

Buddha Does Adelaide - Kas & Judd have a quickie out the front of the restaurant.

Hertz car rentals are now on my black list - misleading pack of so and so’s… Told them that I was under 21 when I made the booking, rock up after getting my flight delayed to have them tell me that they won’t hire me a car! Mongrel Bastards… They will get a blasting on Monday!

Well, that’s about all for today - am sitting in a very nice comfy hotel room @ the Stamford Plaza on the 15th floor and blogging on the laptop while watching rage!

Will prolly blog some more tomorrow - going to see Goose tomorrow night with Judd & Kas from Cj’s.

Well thank god the Metricon launch went off without a hitch today :)

All the Metricon directors were very happy and we had a great turn out.

So thats a big thing off my plate for this week.

Put the challenge out to the staff @ CJ’s today to tell me what they think I look like - seeing that I speak to them 20 times a day and have never met them… some interesting ones so far.

Sponsoring a gig down at Rosebud this weekend which should get Big Noise some good exposure. Have got a big new banner made up for it (3m x 750cm) so if we get a few more gigs out of that then it will be fantastic :)

What a crap day - a 7.30am start and only made it to my desk at 5.45pm!

From Doncaster to Southbank to West Melbourne to Hoppers Crossing back to Southbank then out to Doncaster then back to Southbank and a meeting in St Kilda then back to Southbank then a meeting with Metricon followed by a shit load of unread email.

I am so absolutely buggered I am ready to just keel over today.

Well lets hope this Metricon launch goes okay - they seemed to be happy…. only for 250 people in the industry… *gulp*

Finished booking everything for Adelaide - so everything is set - Staying at the Stamford Plaza - Very Cosy :)

Wood BeadsWell, after 3 days of Wood Badge training, I think can say that I can manage risk!

That was the jist of most of the weekend. Amongst team leading, What is a Leader, Time Management and a lot more of "thrilling" topics.

Valuable, yet very draining! Sitting in a room, with someone talking and death by PowerPoint for 8hrs, isn’t quite my idea of "fun".

Went abseiling which was enjoyable as it’s been a few years (The catch was we had to do a risk assessment on the abseiling), but it was good just to be out of mobile range for the most of it.

I feel a bit more enthused after walking away from the course so I guess that is a good achievement in itself.

So now just have to do the small project and then the Topic 9 Advanced Sectional (Radio & Electronics Advanced Topic) which still has to be written…. but I’ll get there eventually.

Well that’s the weekend in a nutshell.

Another really busy working week ahead :( I am feeling very stressed at the moment, but hopefully Oli will be puting someone else in in the next few weeks.

Really looking forward to Adelaide on Friday :)

That’s all for now.
