The Wonderful (or not so wonderful) life of Greg

Well, the last few days have had their moments, but generally pretty quiet which has been nice. Caught up on heaps of paper work so the pile is sloooowly going down.

Had dinner with Jubbs last night - I really have to make a point of seeing people more often…. Had dinner at Pasta Mania then retreated to watch The Office - That show is an absolute pissa!

I have taken out a contract out on Linksys - They are driving me up the f**king wall. Sat on hold to their call centre in Manilla (Philippines -  where they pay them $3/week and a bag of rice) for and hour and a half for their phone system to boot me off! - NOT HAPPY JAN!

And today has been good - Car is in for a service and i’ve got a new Ford Territory on loan - They are a really nice car. Ford get a 10/10 for that one.

Hopefully the service doesn’t hurt my bank account too much….

And off tomorrow for my Scout Training @ Gilwell for the weekend.

So all in all… not a bad week - I think next week the rush will begin.

Well thanks to me doing a "What The!" when I got a $523.30 phone bill from Optus today… I saved $520.08 and turned a $523.80 bill into a $3.22 bill.

So, make sure you check your bill - it’s amazing what these telco’s will try and i’m sure 90% of the time, they get away with it!

The other thing they now slug you with is an $8.00 porting fee - now thats a lot of cheek!

Well what a year 2004 was!

It all started with a very hectic few weeks in Adelaide at the Jamboree as part of an absolutely fantastic team and 11,000 Scouts.

Then coming back and realising, oh shit, I don’t have a job to walk back to…. but had an enjoyable few months casual contracting here and there and then some how landed a job with Harris Technology.

Well Harris was good… until I landed top sales 6 Months straight and saw nothing for it… so it was solong to the Team at HT Abbotsford and hello to the Virtual Wisdom Team (Oli) who dragged me off the streets of Abbotsford, well not to dragged, but poached me from HT and popped me in his realm.

So September 9 bought a new chapter in the life of Greg, starting a new contract, getting the… "you’re starting today… I thought it was next week", when I showed up. To which I felt like taking another few days off but hey… Then Oli & Sal got hitched and flew out of this big brown land to what now is a very demolished land… Came back spent a few weeks looking for luggage and then decided to bugger his back!

So the life of VW @ OH has been great - the people are lovely and the job is great - it’s been keeping my brain ticking unlike HT.

And well that brings us to the end of 2004 - A not so busy Christmas, a few call outs, a bit of Cricket watching, bashing my head against the wall trying to master Cool Edit Pro / Adobe Audition and a few days of not working (yeah right) and looking forward to a few very busy weeks.

What lies ahead for the next 12 months??

Well, the second weekend in Jan, Ben and Myself are off to Gilwell to do our Advanced Activity Leader Training and then the Thrid weekend, i’m off to Adelaide to catch up with the team @ Crazy John’s Corporate on the Friday when I get in, but most importantly - the AJ2004 Xfm Team which I am really looking forward to!

And then the Cuboree in April - Which should go off with a Huge Bang!

Well, i’ve probably bored the pants off most - so happy 2005 and may it be a good year for all.

Well finally I have got off my arse and created a blog for all of my junk!
