What a fun evening.
Great bunch of people, with great personalities, great company, and ever so welcoming
Pizza, Booze & Bikes - what more could you want?
Nudie Run?? Well hadn’t happened when I left just after 1am, but going on what I’ve heard, it would have.
Well done to Rob (KnightRider) who secretly went and got her P’s
Well for my biking experience - T minus 7 days (not that I’m counting or anything!)
Today, the day of rest.
Washing, cleaning, bumming in front of the TV sounds great!

Was driving into work today, and saw the infamous Hoddle Street window washers, and started thinking, how much they actually earn.
Well, they generally are there in peak hours ( 7am - 9am and 4pm - 7pm) so 5 hrs a day, average of say 50 windows an hour, at a gold coin a car, thats $250 per day or $65,000 per year.
Now, when you look at this, that is 100% tax free, and I don’t think the drug dealers pay tax, so these "Bumbs" or "Druggies" are actually earning more than your average joe who has a good desk job and 3 times as much as your check out chick.
When you actually do the figures on it, it’s bloody scary how much they really earn for the amount they actually work!
Well, now that I got that off my chest, Last night, went off to coffee with the NetRider Crew. Met some of the faces that make up the NetRider Website. Had a fun evening watching Dale try and chat up this bird who was rescued when the phone rang.
Tonight, off to Flippers place (Deb) for a NetRider Gathering.
What on for tomorrow?
Well, worked for 5hours today so going to stay away from there tomorrow. Will prolly do some more reading for my L’s course next weekend, and the good old catchup Sunday things that most of us get up to.

Well currently, I am sitting in a Cuboree meeting… boring as batshit, but hey, at least I have internet so that I can read online and of course blog
Today was fairly productive, caught up on the backlog from having Tuesday off, has my usual arguments with Telstra… did I say arguments, I should say, tell them how to do their job! Some of their techs are just bloody useless!
Finally got the BRSS (Telstra Acronym for Bill Analysis) going, so that will make a few days in the month of analysing bills easier.
Also picked my boots up which was good, so I am now all kitted up
T minus 9 days until I get my L’s
What’s on tomorrow?
A day of catching of tomorrow, just cleaning up a lot of the loose ends.
Coffee tomorrow night with the NetRider Crew and then another weekend of catching up on GST and paperwork, some Cuboree work and somewhere in there some sleep as well

Well a good day out of the office at the 2005 Microsoft Security Conference.
Some interesing sessions, one guy just put the whole theatre to sleep, he was crapola!
The phone didn’t stop ringing all day which was a pain, and heaps of emails to catch up on, but hey, I guess that’s what you get for not being at the office.
Saw the bike yesterday, looks like a good one
Looking forward to riding.
Dinner with Jonno tomorrow evening and Cuboree on Thursday, Friday coffee with NetRider.
Rest of the week is starting to look a lil bit hectic, but hey, life goes on.

Well it only took like 3 weeks, but finallly, a day of rest
Had a good sleep in (forgot what it felt like to sleep in) and then headded down to Red Wing to pick up my gear.
Came home had some lunch and did 6 months worth of filing
Nocked most of my GST over for last 1/4 and finished a few quotes, but all in all a nice restful day.
What’s on for this evening?
Sleep
zZ ZZZzZZz
I think tonight calls for a nice quiet one, might go and get a curry or something and crash in front of the TV and flake out.
Tomorrow, hopefully another day of nothing, but I don’t know how successful i’ll be at getting one.
The week ahead?
Monday will be a really busy one, have Konica Minolta coming 1st thing Monday, then have to finish up a few machines ready to go out. Having lunch with Oli, then out to all the Hallam sites and to one of the Directors houses to look at his internet for him.
Tuesday @ a Microsoft Security Conference all day, then the rest of the week will prolly be flat chat catching up.

The body is taking a beating at the moment.
I am feeling so wrecked from working so hard. Only left the office at 8.30 this evening, started working on the print monitor software and thought if I don’t finish it then I never will.
So, another day, another dollar….. and a headache…. but that’s probably the lack of coffee….
Busy day again tomorrow, looks like a full day @ OH and then have 3 clients tomorrow evening. So hopefully some bills will get paid this week
Weekend will probably hold picking up my bike gear from Red Wing and helping Uncle Luke @ Trinity with some bump in for his production of McBeth (McHeadache!)
To end today with a quote…

Another busy day.
New colour photocopier installed and working fine. Really nice machine. Konica Minolta BizHub C350.
One of the 50" Sony Plasmas died
The big boss wasn’t too impresses, nor can I blame him.
Not having to much luck with Sony at the moment, 1st 3 DVD players keeled over, then a plasma… not looking good for them.
Very glad the day is over, one mass headache and a still a huge pile of paperwork.
Oh well, another day, another pile of paperwork.

Well after getting woken up at 8am because the OH Server and Cisco Router had keeled over after a power out, the day got a little better once the the retail therapy began
Headded over to Red Wing Honda to check out some riding gear. The sales person Nick was a champion, really good advice and spent plenty of time answering all of my questions.
Ended up with a Dianease Jacket, Shoei Helmet, Draggin Jeans and Alpine Star Gloves and Boots. Saved my self about $1800 by purchasing all at the same time. Nick also thru in a reflectable tinted visor and back protector for the jacket, another $300 saved
Now just have to pass the course and go and pick up the bike
Only 3 weeks to go - yeppie
Hopefully a quiet day tomorrow, maybe i’ll get that sleep in that I had planned for this morning.

Does any one know where I can find more time to buy… someone has to sell it… couldn’t find any on Ebay
Why is it that when you’re in a rush, or running to a really tight schedule, that things have to go wrong.
On my trip from Hoppers Crossing, I must have caught every red light, then at Hallam, while installing some software, there was a power failure which happened 98% thru installation, which killed Windows, then recovered Windows, and started to reinstall, then another blackout about 40% thru…. by this stage I was not happy jan…. 3rd time lucky… the power gods were on my side this time (thank god…)
The rest of the day really couldn’t get much worse…
Installed a PC at a client this evening, so they are all happy now
All I need now is for people to start paying their bills!
Another bloody busy one tomorrow…
This week is just going to be one of those weeks.
And the quote to end today…
"It’s an American habit to turn complex moral problems into technical legal ones" - Andrew Solomon

A very long day spent at Gilwell Park swamped by 600 leaders for the Cuboree Leader Orientation day.
A few hours of traffic direction, followed by a lot of questions from leaders.
Then home for my old mans birthday.
Updated the Cuboree website, and now ready to crash! I’ve been up since 5am.
Tomorrow, a nice quiet catch up day
