Wow, what a day…

Another day of justifying my job… and on top of that my normal workload….

How I wish I could clone myself some days.

Headded out for coffee with Apes this evening which was good… haven’t seen her in a long long time… then again, haven’t seen a few people in a long long time… time to leave work at a more reasonable time and catch up with more people!

Left my flipping wallet at work again, this is like the 5th time in 2 weeks that I’ve done it… and it always seems like I do it when the car is running low on fuel….What a goose I am.

Last night headded out to Netrider coffee @ Giorgios in Malvern. Was a nice evening, not a huge turnout. Lil, Rachael & Orlando and Marty. Great to catch up with people that I haven’t seen in a few weeks.

Well, the bike should hopefully be ready tomorrow

All my gear is in stock which is good, so not long now until I am back on the road… can’t wait!

Well, another early start in the morning, so time to catch some ZZzZzZzz’s….

A nice lazy day today.

Had a reasonable sleep last night. Woke up at about 9.30 this morning and headded over to Maccas in Mulgrave for Sunday coffee with Deb & the Kids.

Was feeling a little bunged up today, so swung by the Chemist on the way home and grabbed some cold and flu. With the cold temperatures at the moment I best dose up before I really do feel sick…. and with all the sick people around, it won’t be hard to get sick.

Since then, have had a nice lazy arvo in bed on the laptop. Worked on a Photoshop action for a few hours, got it working, but for some reason, it is not consistantly working which is a pain… so a little bit more reading and ill sort it out.

The week ahead…

Well the calendar is filling up.
Monday - Work and NetRider coffee if i’m feeling up to it.
Tuesday - Have to help a client move some gear and then work, dinner with Apes in the evening.

Nothing on the cards then really until Friday…

Hopefully the bike is back this week and all my gear comes in… then I can start riding again!

Well, thats all for tonight. Time to go and see whats on the idiot box.

Wow, what a week it’s been. So busy that I haven’t even had a chance to post.

Where do I start… I guess Monday would be a good place…

A busy Monday at work as per usual…. NetRider coffee Monday evening… then back into work to finish doing stuff that I needed peace and quiet to do.

Tuesday…another hectic day…. In the office most of the day… few clients in the evening, then home to bed…

Wednesday… Not a good day… bashed heads all day… or so it felt… State of Origin in the evening with Robyn and then home.

Thursday…A Busy day on the road. Out of the office most of the day which was nice. Clients in the morning, Out to Oliver Hume Hallam in the arvo, then helped Robyn pack up some stuff at her place. Then into work to turn the alarm on…. Not Happy Jan!

Friday…Spent most of the day again bashing heads, sorted out the Brisbane phone system and yelled at Telstra a bit… Then off to Friday night coffee, then half way to get the fox hunt gear ready and the alarm at work goes off again! Then back out to Ferntree Gully, then home late again…. lots of late nights this week.

And today, out Fox Hunting all day…. from 6am to 7pm… drove nearly 800 k’s and got to Beechworth…. see the photos in the gallery to see what we were chasing…

We launched a hydrogen filled balloon with a radio transmitter and a camera in it just before 9am this morning. The balloon goes up about 20 - 25k’s and then travels where ever the wind takes it.

From there, it is out job to track the radio signal to work out where it goes. Eventually, the hydrogen balloon bursts due to the altitude and pressure and drops, we then have to recover it.

Well, it was a 1mW Transmitter… very very weak signal… anyways, it was tracked half way across the state, and just when we were thinking it was all over, we found it and started getting a signal out towards Beechworth in Central North Victoria….

Well the balloon was recovered and then a long drive home.

Great day, just buggered from driving 12hrs….

Well, a weekend of doing not much for a change…

The week finished off on not a bad note, finalising all the dollars for my bike repairs and popping down a deposit with Mike @ OCD. All being well, the bike should be back on the road by the end of the week.

On the work front, well, I have had a Trainee Start, so hopefully that will reduce my workload a little bit which will be nice. Start leaving work at a reasonable hour…

Fox Hunting on Friday was interesting… Bryan being escorted off the new Eastern Freeway for tresspassing … and most of the Hounds getting breath tested at least twice…

Yesterday, a fairly chilled day… Slept in till lunchtime, then went across to BikeMart, over to work, car washed, then off to BoogieMans birthday.

Today, a nice relaxed day, might go and do a bit of shopping. Need some good old retail therapy

Well what a few days it’s been.

Saturday, went out on a NetRider ride to Yea and back thru Kinglake - was a beautiful day. Was nice and sunny about 12 degrees, then headding into Yea dropped to about 5 and visability went to nothing.

Sunday, out for a great long ride with Netrider. Did the same long ride that I did last Sunday. All was good, good turnout and fun day. Then 2 k’s away from home, another biker who I was with pulls out in front of me without looking and I locked up to avoid taking both of us out and put the bike down.

I am a bit sore, but okay… The bike is off the road at the moment, Mike @ OCD is looking after it.

The person who cut me off has been very good and will pay for the damage. Poor fellow doesn’t have insurance, but he is facing up to the fact that he pulled out and caused me to come off and I take my hat off to him for being man about it

Replacement gear is about 2k, and the bike quote should be in tomorrow all being well.

Went to the quack this arvo, he says I am okay and that my dizzyness should pass in the next few days. Have had 2 physio treatments aswell and same story

Have a new trainee @ Oliver Hume which is a pain at the moment, but once he gets into the swing of things, it will be a lot better… just have to persist for a while.

Well, off to drop some things at Ben & Kristie.

Another one down…

An interesting day atleast… have a fraudulent internet case to try and suss out in the next week…. YAY… Something challenging

Today otherwise wasn’t too bad… a catch up day really.
NetRider coffee tonight… left early… getting a little chilly so I thought best be home… really can’t afford to be ill at the moment.

Tomorrow, I think a ride is in order… looks like a good one out thru the hills starting just off the ring road, so I think ill head in that general direction in the morning.

Sunday, was going to be foxhunting in the morning, but does’t look like I’m needed for that anymore, so I think another ride and then off to the airport in the arvo to pick Robyn up.

Well, time for either a beer or a coffee… actually, this nice bottle of red next to me looks tempting aswell… all I need now is some cheese and bikkies …

What a week.

Have been meaning to Blog all week and just keep putting it off…. or falling asleep at the keyboard…. (twice this week…. :P)

Sunday - Great Day, went for a huge ride through St. Andrews, Kinglake… got to the top and headded to Healsville, then decided to do the Black Spur… and then the other way, and home.

Monday was hectic, moving the Tullamarine office over to Hoppers Crossing, was out there all day.

Tuesday, Hoppers Crossing most of the morning and catching up on the mound of crap that had piled up over a day and a half of not being there.

Wednesday, Took Robyn to the airport and waved her off to Newcastle. Then headded over to Hallam for the day to clean out the warehouse with a few guys.

Thursday, back in the office and more catching up to do. Then out on the road to Hoppers Crossing and Tullamarine in the afternoon.

Tomorrow, definately another day of catching up to be done… Lots to do! Netrider tomorrow night and then hopefully a weekend of rest… but I very much doubt that will happen….

Still out at a client at the moment… just cleaning some popups that just won’t go away… very frustrating…

Well the weekend is here finally, and this weekend is the weekend of no work…. or so I keep telling myself…. I guess I can dream.

Well the week ended in a hectic fassion, as do most weeks.

NetRider coffee last night which was good as per usual and then decided to re-image my pc when I got home last night.

Today, woke up early for a Saturday, went to the post office this morning and then over to Red Wing Honda to get my boots repaired under warranty.

So thats all done… just have to drop them off on Monday and they will have them repaired or replaced.

This arvo, went for a ride with Julz (R1_Lover) and Lids up to Mt Dandenong for lunch @ Sky High.

Later on, off for a haircut, then what looks like a quiet evening at the moment.

Well, what can I say… busy busy busy and stressed out of my mind!

That sort of sums up the last week… lots of late nights and long hours… but then again… whats new

This week has been pretty average… work has been very demanding with the closing of an office, the relocation process is a very tedious process, and with only 8 working days to do it, has been a very fast process.

Otherwise on the work front, I guess you could say …. well it’s work…. shit I’m starting to sound like an employee….

I better tell myself to get F**ked, walk out and then apologise to myself, offer myself a raise, then take myself out for lunch to apologise and a nice cash bonus aswell

What’s ahead for the week??

Netrider Coffee tomorrow night, and what I’ve been looking forward too for months…. the Goose gig on Sunday night :)

Well that’s all for now… better start doing some work, currently sitting on a phone conference to Dell …. I think this will be the highlight of my day…
