Wow, well where can I start.

Out at Rogue this morning to cut over their Bigpond connection to a Telstra Internet Direct connection, and Telstra being the most reliable and wonderful company they are, didn’t show up for an appointment between 9 and 1, and they didn’t even show up a little bit late, but a whole 4 hours late! #%$#^#^#$!@!@#

NOT HAPPY JAN!

So that was a great stuff around and a waist of time, then came the technician who was bloody useless. I think a monkey would know more than the tool who showed up! He could barely use a mobile phone!

Well, that all got sorted out, and then I headded back over to work for the day, spent about 1 1/2 hrs at work, and then jumped in the lift to leave and the power to the lift died. So here I am stuck in a bloody lift!

So called the lift company, and they said 20 mins. Well after 35 mins, I got a bit pissed off and decided to force the doors a little to see if I could see how far off a floor I was, and sure enough, I was 2cm off level 2, so I forced the doors all the way, hopped out and went down the stairs.

I must have got out the wrong side of the bed this morning!

Oh well, must have just been one of those days,…. hopefully tomorrow will be a bit better… :D

Why do I have to have so much on Friday!!

So far…

- Dinner with Luke
- 21st
- Netrider coffee

and tonight I find out that Directions in Groove are playing at the Corner Hotel!

Noooooo!!! The one night that they are playing I have stuff on….

Hopefully it is a late show and I’ll be able to get there… will have to call the Corner Hotel tomorrow.

Today, started out okay, then just got as busy as busy can be.

Without the 2 stooges for the next 3 days, so will be a little bit busier, but hey, the sanity might be maintained a bit better … hehehe… :P

Time for some TV…. or some music… can’t decide which one….

Oh well…

Well, the backend of Greg’s Blog has been upgraded from Serendipity 0.7 to 0.8.1

It all went reasonably smoothly which is good :) Thanks to all the s9y development team for their continued development on this great product (www.s9y.org)

Today - Well, fairly busy on the helpdesk front, had a meeting with Telstra this arvo, and otherwise just ramping up for the end of the financial year.

What else is news in the world of Greg …. not a lot really, otherwise fairly quiet on all other fronts.

Went off to Netrider coffee at Fasta Pasta this evening. Then headded on home about 7.30 and started to upgrade the blog.

I am quite amazed how some of the software that is great on a PC is just shithouse on a Mac…. quite disapointing actually.

Tomorrow, bit to do at the office again, have to do some work on the alarm system in the afternoon which shouldn’t take too long, pretty standard stuff, just have to add a few new users and delete a few old ones that are disabled.

Well, that’s all for me for the night. Time to finish up on MSN and catch some ZzzZzzzZ :)

Well after all these years of not being a Mac person, I am now a Mac person!

I am now the proud owner of a G4 14.1″ Apple iBook!

Specs for all the techos….
Apple G4 iBook, 14.1″ Scree, 768mb DDR Ram, 60GB Hard Drive, Wireless & Bluetooth, CDRW/DVD Combo.

Surprisingly, OSX 10.4.1 (Tiger) is really really easy to use! I don’t remember OS8 or 9 being this easy!

Best of all, the stability is great!

Seeing that I don’t do any gaming, I have most of my PC apps on my Mac, and when I get really stuck, there is always Virtual PC, or the real PC, seeing that I still have a few of them.

Well,… thats the new toy for this week :P well, call it a end of financial year pressie :P

This week has been okay so far, just ramping up to the end of fin year, so Oliver Hume is busy, and GregNet is also a little busy, should probably do a bit of an end of FY special to the clients soon.

Tomorrow, another busy day in paradise. Oh how the year is flying!

Then went off to work unitl lateish….

Over to Lids last night to help her with her bike, and then over to Foxy’s place for a shin dig.

Today, a lazy one… out for coffee later on me thinks :D

Gotta hate these long weekends…. it’s nice while you’re on them, but then you come back and have so much shit to do and you’re one day down!

Have been flat out working on the VPN deployment for work today. Have the head office pretty much configured, doing the 2 Melbourne sites on Thursday and then most likely up to Brissy next week to do that one.

Most of today was spend doing all the docco and IP Scope for the VPN, up to about 8 sheets in my Excel Document, and 30 pages, and it’s still growing.

Started on the Visio diagram of it, so will finish that tomorrow, and then have to do some more phone bill analysis for the CEO, which was dropped on me at 6pm tonight…. yeppie! :(

A late day at the office (7.45pm) followed by 2 clients and then home at 11.45pm to do invoicing and catching up on some paperwork.

Now sitting up blogging and catching up on a bucket load of email… but it all looks blury and makes no sense at this time of night…even with my glasses on….

Talking about glasses…. dropped a laptop on my Versace frames the other day… anyway, got them replaced and kept them as a spare, took them away with me on the weekend, and was wearing them, but now I can’t find the buggers anywhere… :(

Oh well, that’s another 800 pair of frames down the dunny…. :(

Well, time for some ZZzZzZzzz … another busy day today…. only 6 hours until i get up… actually, make that 5 seeing that it’s now 12.45….

What a week.

Have had a work expierience kid this week at work and between that and all my other workload, it has been one shit of a week.

Did a very long night on Thursday in order to finish all the outstanding stuff for Friday so that I could make it up to the 2005 Australian Fox Hunting Championships.

Did a half day at work on Friday, went home and slept for a few hours, before getting up and driving up to Mount Gambier, South Australia.

Got caught in the rain on the way up which was interesting, but made it up there safely.

Saturday, we had a good day Fox Hunting, and then dinner at Charlies (If you go to Mount Gambier… AVOID THIS PLACE!) It is just like S&M Orgys, *cough* I mean Smorgys…. cheap and really really nasty.

Then the night hunt, which we went really badly on the 1st leg(2m), getting a 6th, then a 2nd, on 70cm, 10m and 6m, coming overall 2nd for the night hunt. 1st Going to VK3BLN Team.

Sunday, more fox hunting, a few hunts in the morning and 2 in the arvo.

We had a fairly average run, but did very well on the ARDF Sniffer events which made up for it.

Sunday night, presentations, and we were very shocked to win 1st place, Australian Fox Hunting Champions 2005. :D

Off to the pub in the evening, then bed. :)

Woke up this morning to find a nail in my tyre… so changed that and ran about 30 mins late leaving.

Got home at about 3pm, then did some work, and got all the photos from the weekend done. See them in the photo gallery under fox hunting > Mount Gambier.

Tonight, off to SRESU meeting and bed… I am buggered.

Hopefully a pretty cruisy week ahead, but I think that I am bloody dreaming!

Thanks to Bryan, Adam, Steve & Darien for a great weekend fox hunting :D

Wow, what a great weekend to be back on the bike. The weather couldn’t have been better.

Had a nice relaxing day at home yesterday, catching up on all the homely things, then in the afternoon, headded over to Casa Del Jake for the NetRider Chilli Cookoff!

Wow, that was fun, … if Steve ever offers you Suicide Wings… just say no and back away… it sure was some spicy stuff.

The different chilli dishes were interesting.

Mark’s Chilli Casata (Like a layered chilli ice cream) was just unreal. As were Mrs Scumbags brownies (Elanor).

A fun night had… check out the photos in the gallery….

Today, an early rise and over to Frankston for the start of a nice long ride out to the Mornington Peninsula.

Flinders for the 1st stop for a drink, then over to the Pig & Wistle for lunch.

A great day,…. thanks to VTRBob (Sir NIPPLE) for organising it!

Photos of the ride in the photo gallery.

What’s on for the week ahead?

I have a work experience person for the week which should be interesting, then off to the fox hunting champs on Friday in Mt Gambier in South Australia.

Should be an interesting week.

YAY! :D The bike is back on the road all repaired and looking sexy again!

Thanks to Mike @ OCD Racing for the AWSOME job done on the Man Bag.

Another bust day, preparing stuff for the Fin Controller for the 05-06 Budget… Trying to get the phone budget sorted…

More to do on that tomorrow and then NetRider coffee tomorrow night :)

A short entry … but good news none the less :D
