Wow, What a brilliant night that was!

A great opening band, Featuring Jack Housden, Guitarist from The Whitlams. The next band was just shithouse! It was like they were running about 40years late for their gig at the Corner and just showed up.

It was this drunken houling, country singing old man and a guitarist, and it was absolutely horrible. I think everyone couldn’t wait for them to get the hell off the stage.

Then just after 11pm, The Whitlams came on and just rocked The Corner Hotel as they do best!

Got a nice long set out of them, featuring some of the GREAT oldies, and then some of the newies, which will be coming out on their new DOUBLE ALBUM in February!

Well after about 2 hours of Whitlams, and non stopped singing, they finished up 3 Encores later, and well, I don’t think I could hear much, and had about 1/2 the voice that I walked in with from all the singing, but it was just an awsome night!

Thanks to Kate, Deb and Sharni for coming along and rocking the night out with me!

Today, well seeing that the Melbourne weather looks like it has fined up a bit, I think it might be time to jump on the bike and go for a bit of a blat for a few hours and have some fun.

Ciao for now.

My lord, how this week has just flown.

I could have sworn that today was Wednesday!

Well, a day of running around today, up to Belgrave to drop some business cards off at a client, then popped into Ben’s place for a while, them home to do some real work for the afternoon.

Yesterday, just a few clients, and book work to try and get my GST done…. thrilling stuff…. NOT!

Tomorrow, the morning at home by the looks of it, might make it out to a client in the morning and then off to a client tomorrow arvo to do a server migration.

Only 2 days until The Whitlams! YAY!!!!! Can’t wait. Aparantly they are playing alot of their new stuff, from there NEW DOUBLE ALBUM!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOO!

Then hopefully not too much work over the weekend, and just a half week being that Monday is a semi-public holiday and Tuesday is Cup Day.

Well, time to keep doing some real work….. :P Gotta make some money for the day.

Well if you couldn’t tell by the title, I am just a little bit excited! :D

Only 4 more sleeps until The Whitlams are down in Melbourne at the Corner Hotel!

On Saturday, Deb, Robyn and I are off to see them and will prolly sing our lungs out, get rather drunk and be very deaf at the end of the night, but never the less, have a f**king awsome time! :D

Not a bad start to the week. A fairly cruisy but productive day yesterday, mainly running around and chasing things for clients, followed by coffee down at Fasta Pasta in Brandon Park with Netrider and then today, was out at a client in the morning, and then picked up my dry cleaning, and headded out to Steve (Direct Print), and played computers for a while, had a bite to eat and a lovely drop of red and headded home to spend an hour on the phone to Ash in the UK because it’s he 19th Birthday Today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASH!

Now just kicking back and winding down for the night, and looking at the calendar for tomorrow.

Tomorrow, off to a client in the morning, pick some stuff up from a wholesaler in the afternoon and then looks like a possible client in the afternoon followed by rollerskating with Netrider in the evening which should be fun, seeing that I haven’t done it for like 4 years or so :P A good laugh if nothing else :D

Well time for beddies, the red wine has made me nice and sleepy, should sleep like a brick!

Well this week has been kind of cruisy.

Started doing some work on my website again which was good, now just have to finish the damn thing, got my VoIP all going and working fairly well, and finished off the mass amounts of filing, while also doing a bit of paid work in there.

Next week will be busy doing all of my GST stuff which is due on Thurday or Friday I believe. :(

On a good note, the Photo Gallery is back up and running again after going splatto after an upgrade and I didn’t have the time to repair the database until yesterday, so it’s all happy again and now ill have to get off my arse and get some more photos up there.

Not a lot planned for the weekend, today just trying to do some web work and paperwork etc, might head out this evening depending how I’m feeling, doing the washing and cleaning and tomorrow have a gig on in the afternoon.

Well today was a pretty good day. Finished cleaning up my desk which I started the other day.

So now at least every thing is on a shelf or in a cupboard. :D

My desk is back to a decent state again, so I decided to start doing some work on my website which hasn’t been touched in about 2 years… whoops, so started doing some playing in Photoshop to start mocking some stuff up. Was good to be a bit creative today :)

Then this arvo, out to a few clients and then out to Ben to pick up some bits and pieces.

Life has been a bit better in the last few weeks, seem to be getting stuff done, certainly a shit load less stressed, but still trying to sort all this other shit out still, which I’m sure will take some time. :(

The rest of the week…. well tomorrow, off to the physio, then have a Cuboree dinner in the evening. Friday, have an upgrade on in the evening which will stretch out into Saturday, and Sunday, what looks like to be some Big Noise work.

Well, off to go and listen to one of the Whitlams singles that arrived in the mail today. Only 2 albums, (2 of the originals, very rare) and I will have all of their music!

Well, for a change, a fun day. A few hours of work, few hours of paperwork, an hour at the physio and then out for drinks and a great little band called “Dead Cats Bounce” at Manchester Lane with April.

Bio

Dead Cats Bounce play an evening of swinging Jazz, Funk and Latin influenced tunes. Playing both original material and other great tunes featuring new horn arrangements. For the first time Dead Cats Bounce will be playing as a 12 piece band featuring the Drop Dead Horns, lead by Martha Baartz plus the rising talent of Adam Rudegeair as Pianist and Musical Director. Dead Cats Bounce have appeared at Federation Square, Dallas Brooks Hall, Crown Palladium, Chapel off Chapel and other bars and clubs around Melbourne. This is a must see for all Jazz fans.

A great 12 piece that was full of bounce but not too many dead cats…..

Manchester Lane was nice and full, a fun Monday night out!

Was good to catch up with Apes and hear what’s going on, and finally catch up on the 3 cancelled dinners over the last 6 months :P

Tomorrow, have a 9.30 in North Melbourne, and then a day of catch up on finishing, or trying to finish this massive mound of paperwork!

Oct 16

Well what a day it was, all starting at the crack of dawn….3am!!!… Sunday has an AM??

Met Brian from Netrider on the Eastern at 4am for our journey into Docklands, where the maps make no sense and go nowhere and everwhere and are bloody confusing!

At about 5am, we were on the road to the Mornington Peninsula, following about 5000 odd bikes. For the day about 11,000 bikes participated.

Clocked up about 500 k’s for the day, and got plenty of riding done and only 2 first aid casualties which was great.

After 15 long hours on the bike, it all came to an end, my bum is a bit sore tonight, but hey, thats what happens sitting 15 hours on a really hard bike seat!:P

Read more about it –> Netrider Report

What’s on for the week ahead?
Off to a few clients this week, and also a bit of catching up on some paper work.

That’s all for now, time for a beer and some TV and relaxing!

Wow, what a week of fantastic weather we’ve had. This Melbourne weather has just been glorious!

Well the week has been fairly busy, visiting a few clients and catching up on other bits and pieces, as well as organising some of the stuff for JOTA this weekend.

The riding this week has been just great. Has been good to get back out on the bike and clock up some serious K’s :)

Today, clocked up some k’s in the car, travelling around to the various JOTA sites with Ben. Out to Burwood, Yea and Epping, and then Ben is off to Narre Warren and Gilwell Park tonight.

For me, and early night, as I have to be up at 3am to be in at Docklands by 4am for Motorcycle Marshalling for Bike Victorias’, Ride around the bay in a day.

I am posted out in Frankston, patrolling between Frankston and Mordiallioc.

Well for now, some dinner, and off to get some ZzZZzzzZz.

Oct 11

Well, I can tell you that having time back in my life is a very very strange feeling!

Being able to blog at 12.05pm! Being able to go out for a ride when I feel like it, just relaxing a bit…. hey look, financially I’m a bit rooted, and that’s stressing me out, but being able to just relax a bit and catch up on so much shit that I haven’t done, and catch up on some Me time is great!

Work is sort of busy, I have enough at the moment to keep out of mischief, but more work wouldn’t hurt.

The house is in chaos today as the carpets are being steam cleaned, so I am in dad’s office using part of his desk so that I can keep working.

What’s on the cards for the rest of the week?

Today, off to a client this arvo, tonight off to Trinity, tomorrow looks like a quiet day and NetRider Annual Dinner tomorrow evening, Thursday another quiet day and Ride around the bay meeting in the evening, Friday no doubt will be busy doing JOTA stuff, Saturday JOTAing and Sunday have a very very early start for Ride around the bay…. 4am….

Next week, have a bit more work on.

Might take the car to get washed this arvo… its looking a bit grubby at the moment….

Oct 07

Well this week has been good and bad…. more bad than good. The title taken from my dear friends, The Whitlams.

My contract has been terminated, which hey, that happens, but it has got nasty which isn’t good… but shit, life goes on……

On the good side, the other contracts I have picked up have been going well, keeping me very very busy, and seems like there will be plenty more work to come.

Off this weekend to Leppitt Leaders Course with Trinity Grammar School to do some video editing work with Luke, and then home again on Sunday evening.

Tonight, just chilling in bed, feeling very very tired after a few big days, and just watching the Cricket, which is a really good fast game tonight.

Well, I really can’t think of too much to write tonight, have to finish some stuff off for tomorrow, and be out the door at 7.30am to drive towards Bendigo.
