Well, so that was 2005, yes, this is going to be one of those blog entries that looks back on the blog entries of 2005. Some of the highlights, and some of the lowlights :P

January
Well Jan started off the year in true style with the BBQ’s at my place as I do oh so well, followed by my car getting towed, stressful times at work the XFM reunion in Adelaide and catching up with the CJ’s Crew, Seeing the most awsome band, Goose. It saw the launch of Ross & Terri’s Triple J Nanna, My Scout Woodbead Training, and large phone bills.

February
Well started with a week of not blogging. We had the Cuboree open day, which was very very wet, and lots of leaders showed up which was brilliant! I spent some rediculous amounts of money at Red Wing Honda to start my riding off.

Some stressful times at OH with a plasma going kasplat, the new copier arriving, and DVD players going splat too.

There was some more Cuboree stuff, the start of my NetRidering.

March
Well March saw me going for my bike learners, getting a bike, raising about $800 bucks along the Southbank front for Netrider Shave for a Cure, and shitloads of Cuboreeeeeeing. and the old man got a bike too.

April
Well April was Cuboree month, 4500 screaming kids, lots of not sleeping, long days, even longer nights, but a shitload of fun!

I turned 21, and that was a fun night with friends for dinner which followed on with getting very drunk on Flippers roof singing Whitlams until the wee hours of the morning.

May
Well May was an average month at work, We had a great Goose gig at the Espy in StKilda, I had my 1st Motorcycle accident, we went Fox Hunting and ended up in Beechworth, and had to justify my job again!

June
Well ManBag came back and I started riding again, went for some great rides, Won the Australian Fox Hunting champioinships in Mt Gambier, lost 2 pairs of glasses and got my new iBook!

July
Well July saw London with the Olympic Games, and get bombed with a Terrorist Attack a Day Later.
Had a great Goose gig @ The Prince of Wales, follwed by an interesting ride home with no clutch cable.

And to end the month, World System Admins Day.

August
Well August saw a month of good riding, the birth of William for James & Karen, me doing a shitload of reading for my Microsoft exams and then off to Queensland for Microsoft Tech.Ed.

September
Well September was started with Tech.Ed on the Gold Coast, then down to Brisbane to install the VPN in the OH Brisbane office.

Saw the sad passing of a dear friends mum, and went to the Funeral which was lovely.

Was woken at the crack of dawn to hear the Luke’s Scout Hall was on fire after seeing Little Fish that evening with Kate and her family.

Adam turned 21, and did a DVD for his 21st which was nice, and finally admitted that I am an ebayaholic.

October
The month started with me finishing up with Oliver Hume and Virtual Wisdom.

October means JOTA, and Ben and I went galivanting across the state to visit some of the JOTA Sites.

The following day, an early start for me, Motorbike Marshalling for Bike Victoria Ride Around the Bay in a Day. It was an amazing day of 15 hours on the bike clocking up 600 odd k’s.

And October was finished off with a fantastic performance by The Whitlams at the Corner Hotel!

November
November started off with Scouthike up at Mt Disapointment, a great weekend with excellent weather. Time to relax.

A huge effort burning DVD’s for Kent - that was a good solid week of burning.

I passed my Amateur Radio Foundation Licence and got the Callsign VK3FUNK

Started the VicGov work with Ben and started travelling all over the country side.

December
Well December was the month of the broken Blog. All fixed tho and had much catching up to do in the wonderful world of Greg.

December was very busy work wise, with all theh VicGov work and all the other clients aswell.

And then there was Christmas, and the lunch with Ben and Kristie that was great!

And now, the year is all over, and tonight, we see in the new year.

Wow, what a year it’s been. Lots of highlights, and lowlights.

I Hope you have enjoyed reading my blog, 12monts in the making, and rest assured, it will continue into next year.

Well, the Christmas rush is now over and the Boxing Day rush begins.

With the 1st Ball of the Test Match at the MCG just bowled, it looks like a great day for the cricket a beer and sitting in front of the tellie!

I don’t think that I could handle the whole Boxing Day shopping today. Why is it that everyone on the roads and in the shopping centres have to turn in to complete and utter dicks at this time of year!

Well yesterday was a great day with Ben, Kristie and the families for lunch and dinner. A really nice lunch followed by nibbling for most of the day and a nice bbq dinner.

I don’t think i’ll eat for the next week after the food I had yesterday…. I am still full!

The phone has’t rung so far, so at this point in time it looks like I am taking the next 2 days off work which is nice. The batteries certainly need recharging at the moment.

For those who haven’t either recieved and SMS or Email from me, NYE05 will be a pool chillout party from about 5pm. BYO Drinks and a Salad or Dessert. For more info, call me or click here

I hope everyone had a good Chrissy day and that Stanta / Chanuka Fairy bought everything you were after :P

Well, the last month has been a massive month of travel.

Benalla, Bendigo, Geelong, Ballarat, wow - a lot of kilometres travelled and plenty of nights not in my own bed.

I really don’t know how some of these business men and women spend so long on the road not in their own homes and not with their families and friends.

As much as I love going away, going away to work is not all that its made out to be. Living out of a suitecase sucks arse and having to work, well hey, that is no holiday.

Both Ben and I are feeling very tired after the last month of being on the road. It’s been a successful trip and we have kicked some big goals, but I am looking forward for it all to be finished and being back home.

Looks like I will be having a nice quiet day at Ben’s for Christmas day, and Monday and Tuesday all being well, will have a few days of relaxing. Might try and go into the Cricket for the Ashes Test on Tuesday.

To think that I have been blogging for a whole year now and wow, i’ve really enjoyed it. It’s been great to see so many people reading it, getting sms’s from friends interstate and overseas reading about what I’m up to and feeling involved in my life.

Currently I’m in Bendigo, finishing tomorrow, doing more upgrades for Vic Gov.

For a nice change, we have broadband in where we are staying, a small 18 room place in the far end of Bendigo. A bargain at the price and not to bad either. Certainly stayed in a lot worse.

Well, thats all for today, heading off to catch some zzzZzzZzZz before another long day tomorrow. Hopefully will finish by 12pm and then have the drive home.

If I don’t get to blog before chrissy, I wish everyone a happy Christmas and a Wonderful and prosperous new year.

Well the last few days have just been mass chaos of work work work work work and work.

Have done some very late nights to catch up with all of this work that I have got in the last few days since coming home from Benalla.

The first one was interesting, an e-commerce website. Well it was something different, got that all going which is good. Bit more work to do on it yet, but 90% there.

Few PC’s to fix for a client who is off to Sydney to live, and picked up a few new clients which will keep me busy between now and new year.

Well what’s on the cards for the rest of the year?
Working up until Christmas. Then will probably take Monday and Tuesday off of next week if the phone doesn’t ring. Might head off to the cricket on Tuesday, then will be back working Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

Then we are at New Years. No idea what’s happening yet. Will probably end up at Netrider HQ for the party there. Haven’t heard if anything else is happening yet.
Might end up having my own party at home, just have to get off my arse and organise something.

I don’t know if it just me who has picked up on this, but people on the roads at this time of year are just complete and utter f%$#%kwits!
I don’t know what it is that does it but the roads have just been utter chaos!

What’s even worse is shopping centre car parks. People just don’t give a shit. They are more worried about their Christmas presents than the person or cars in the car park that they are going to run over. One lady, in true style, on the mobile phone, with the kids screaming in the back seat, just backs out without looking, nearly ran someone over, but collected her trolley in stead. GOD DAMMIT PEOPLE, THINK!

I was chatting to a Police Traffic officer, and we both agreed that they should just take away peoples licences under the fuckwit act at this time of year.

Well, that my soapbox whinge for the day.

The cricket has just finished for the day on the tellie, and I think its beer o’clock.

Cheers :)

Well, try to upgrade the bloody thing and it all goes pear shaped….. :(

Well according to the upgrade documents, it all should have worked, but a combination of the blogging engine I use and PHP upgrade made everything bad :(

So two weeks with out blogging and I am having massive withdrawal simptoms…. even the doctor perscribed me to mass doses of internet surfing to make up for it :P

So thanks to Ben mucking around and playing unix for a while, we are all engines go!

So you ask, what the hell have I been up to…..

Well, to tell you the truth…. work work and more f#@$%king work….

This contract I am currently working on is taking me all over the state.

Last week, Geelong and Ballarat, this week Frankston and Banella.

Next week looks like either Moe or Bendigo.

With Christmas only a week away, I guess I should really start thinking about doing some Christmas shopping, but not being in a town that has half decent shops makes buying presents really hard. So as per my conversation with Bronwen the other night, everyone is getting a NQR gift voucher :P

All being well, we will finish early here in Banella and be back in Melbourne tomorrow night, which means that I SHOULD be able to do some shopping on Friday, but at the moment, I don’t like my chances.

The amateur radio stuff is all going well. Sent my radio off for repair and got it back, so I will try that out aswell when I get back to Melbourne.

Currently, I am sitting in Ma and Pa Kettles inn in downtown Banella. A small country town of about 15,000 people about 50k’s North of Sheparton. The major part of town spans about 2km, of which there is the main banks, the regular shops, about 2 pubs, the RSL and thats about it! I don’t know how anyone could live out here, it’s just way to quiet and slow for me…. and the heat is amazing compared to Melbourne. It’s not muggy, it’s just this dry dry heat.

It was good to see that there has been a bit of rain up here.

On another good note, Talia, my younger sister finished her VCE and got a great score of around 91! :) She is off to the UK in 2 weeks time for a gap year as a teaching assistant.

Wow, this has been a long entry. Thanks to all the emails from people thinking that I had dropped off the face of the earth because my blog was down. It’s good to be back and hopefully my “thrilling” life is up to your expectations :P :D

Well that’s all my poor tired mind can think of. I’m going to sit down and veg for a while, have a cup of strong black coffee to celebrate this blogging extraviganza and then think about sleep.

Cheers Ya’ll
