Tim Freedman & Greg

And then Saturday, Deb, Dave, Sharni and I went off to the Corner Hotel and man it was PACKED!

Kate Miller-Heidke was the opening set, and man can she sing. What a set of vocals, just blew me away. Tori Amos, come Frente’ come full blown Classical! Just Sensational!

Grabbed her 2 EPs and a few new Whitlams T-shirts and Timmy signed them again for me ;)

A brilliant show @ The Corner Hotel as per usual.

What’s on for the week ahead? Work as per usual. Have to prepare for a major upgrade next weekend. Have fox hunting on Friday, and have to grab a new pair of motorcycle boots as mine have had it.

Well that’s all for now.

May 11

Well what a week it’s been.

Few new clients have been keeping me flat chat. I have been doing some rediculous hours to keep on top of things and finally getting there.

After having the floor boards at home polished last week, it has put me so far behind on paperwork. The pile just seems to keep growing and growing!

Vic Champs for Foxhunting was the Saturday just gone, and as much as we tried to loose, we still won….. :P It was a great cold day with some very challenging courses set out but great fun :)

Sunday went to Ikea and got myself a new set of drawers for my bedroom and moved all of my crap back in.

This week has been very busy with a few new clients again and I am officially naming this week, “Whitlams Week!”

Monday was running around like a blue assed fly, Tuesday much the same and then had a nice dinner with Jubbs @ The Templestowe Living room.

Last night I went off to Tim Freedman and his piano with Robyn, Kate, Paul (Kate’s Brother) and at last minute call in Deb, after Lynsey gave me the silent treatment, hopped out the car and didn’t talk to me. I think I can say that that means it’s over.

So after all that, I went out, have a fucking brilliant night. Drank some great wine, ate some great food spent some time with some friends and watched one of the finest musicians around play and share his voice with us.

After the show just before Tim was leaving, I managed to pop out and say Hi, and got him to sign some of my new posters and all of my CD covers :D

Also got a great photo with him :D :D Another one for the wall! (Although I am running out of wall space….)

Today, spent most of the day in a cold workshop fixing computers, then picked dad up from work and went to another client.

Tomorrow, have the electrician coming to finish some work, and have to pop out to a few clients.

Netrider tomorrow night, The Whitlams @ The Corner Hotel on Saturday night :D and Sunday might get out for a nice ride :)

Well the week has had it’s ups and downs, but more ups than downs, so I shouldn’t complain too much I guess.

It’s Whitlams Madness I tells ya! :P

Have a good weekend y’all.

May 01

Well, I am officially a slackarse! No blogging for about 2 weeks is just really really slack of me.

So, what have I been up to I hear you ask?

Well, I have been to see the criple, Nola, a few times in rehab, and now she is out :) yippee :D

I’ve been working really really hard on the Pink Ribbon Motorcycle Ride. I must say, it’s been really really enjoyable to work with such a committed and dedicated team of people! We are kicking some huge goals and this is going to be a bloody great event! Pink Ribbon Ride Website

Well after April being a really quiet month work wise, it looks like May is going to be an absolute ripper month. Have picked up a few new clients and also have secured some other work, so that makes me a bit happier to see that it was just a quiet month. Was really starting to worry for a while there.

Anzac day went out for a nice motorbike ride. We headded towards Strath Creek (Betweek Yea and Broadford), some beautiful weather, amazing people and the roads were just awsome. We got to Strath Creek and decided to head towards Broadford which is just an amazing stretch of road, and about 2km into it, I come around the corner to find one of the guys who I was riding with was sitting on the bank of the road and his bike was in the ditch! What The #@%!

Well, he went into the corner a bit hot, and that was the end of that, so back to the Strath Creek Pub we went for lunch and to ice the arm. And after all the commotion, one broken arm, one slightly bent bike, but a good day of riding none the less.

Another great ride this weekend just gone. A group of 34, about 6 “experienced” riders and the rest leaner riders headded out for a nice slow ride to Yea. It was a really great day and a lot of pointers given to less experienced riders. And best of all, It was casualty free! :D

Have been playing heaps with the new coffee machine… ummmm coffeeee…..

The Whitlams Mania Week Next Week :D Wednesday is Tim Freedman Solo Night @ Wellers and Saturday is The Whitlams @ The Corner Hotel! :D :D :D Can’t wait, will just be a week of madness!

Netrider is shaving for a cure again this Friday for the Leukemia foundation. We’ll be down at Southbank in front of Bear Brass from about 6pm! Come down and give us some money! oh and watch us shaving and colouring for a cure!

Saturday coming is the Vic Fox Hunting Champs…. we seem rather disorganised for it, but why doesn’t that surprise me…. should be a good day none the less and hopefully we can give some of out new gear a work out and see how it all goes.

A late night of work tomorrow night and Wednesday have Netrider Shopping night at Bikemart. Not that I need anything for the bike, but will go down for the social activities. :)

Hope this fills you in and that I don’t leave it this long next time!
